This was a stylized mural I created for ‘The Village’ in Stamford, CT. The theme represented creativity in honor of the Waterside School. The design was very different from what I usually create. For the background, I reached out to Rosie O’Donnell and asked her to design a background that I could use as a starting point. From there, I altered it by adding different items representing: art, music, science, literature, film, sports and photography. Using a student from the Waterside School as the model, I depicted her holding a sign that reads “Dream Big”.
After getting the design up on the wall, I had my talented son Colson Ganino assist me for a few days by adding in the color. I have to thank the amazing Amy Hirsch for connecting me to create such a unique addition to my portfolio (and truly a piece that means a lot to me for many different reasons)!
